Pavel Valkov is a professional longboard rider with over 10 years of experience, known for his distinctive style combining longboard dance and freestyle. He is the 2020 So You Can Longboard Dance Grom Champion and 2025 Hamburg Longboard Open Vice Champion. Beyond riding, Pavel is the founder of Longboard BG Foundation, helping grow and develop the longboard community in Bulgaria.

The drive to move
Порив (PORIV) is a Bulgarian word for an urge, an inner drive to move, create and push forward. The name comes from the feeling Pavel Valkov had when he first discovered his first longboard step - that instant urge to keep moving and learn what comes next.

It's built for riders who already know what they want from a board. If you're just starting out and you're serious about dance and freestyle, it will carry you the whole way - but it's not a cheap board to learn the basics on. If you're not sure you'll stick with longboarding yet, start on something second-hand and come back for this one.

Decks decks don't die of old age. They die from the nose and tail getting shorter - every shuvit, every no comply, every landing takes a little off. Eventually there isn't enough kick left to pop. Using the original (longer) wheelbase option is how we designed the deck to be used when you start skating your new PORIV. Many brands use just one wheelbase option and that’s it. However we’ve been skating for more than 10 years and know that this won’t be enough. So we created a second wheelbase option just for that - when your kicktails get shorter, just move to the shorter wheelbase. And there you have it - fresh new life for your tails so you can shred the streets for longer. It costs you nothing, but buys the deck another season!
